About this job:

Our customer is headquartered in Germany. Since 1989 the medium-sized company is developing and supplying outstanding measuring equipment, software and system solutions for the gas, water and wastewater industries. Since 2005 they are active in China. For the further expansion we are looking for following new created role:

Sales Manager (m/f)

Till now the company was focused in China on services and channel sales. Further activities will be focused as well on direct sales especially to companies in the gas industry. The Sales Representative will be in charge of the areas/provinces Beijing, Hebei, Liaoning, Shanxi and Henan. After the training period in Beijing and Germany there is the possibility to work out of a home office. Our preferred candidate is a Chinese with fluency in English OR German.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support the current dealers
  • Develop new customers mainly in the gas industry in cooperation with the sales team in Germany and the service team in China
  • Visit potential customers and present products and services
  • Negotiation with potential customers and preparation of technical and commercial proposals
  • Preparation of business and sales plans
  • Reporting (to the Management in Germany)
  • Possible scenario: after first expansion building up a sales team


  • Technical degree OR commercial degree with good technical understanding OR more than 5 years relevant working experiences
  • At least 2 years working experiences in technical sales - ideal 5 to 10 years working experiences
  • Strong in business development
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Independent and result-oriented behavior
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments
  • From big advantage is knowledge in the gas industry (gas characteristics and gas behavior etc.)
  • First language is Chinese AND fluency in English OR German
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proficient with MS Office
