Einhell China was set up in 1994. As China is the most important purchasing market for the Einhell Germany AG, Einhell China set up a strong engineering department to ensure products are made in strict compliance with Einhell quality guidelines and can be delivered to customers on time.

About this job:
  • Manage and further develop the Petrol Tools Division engineering staff
  • Establish a competent and a self-driven division, which is responsible for bringing product ideas from sketch to mass production stage together with external manufacturing facilities (OEM and new product development), as well as continuous product improvement with the target to reduce failure rates
  • Communicate daily with German headquarter and maintain successful relationships with suppliers, partners and third parties to ensure smooth execution of technical cooperation and projects
  • Assure project schedules and short time-to-market periods
  • Provide technical support to internal departments (purchase, quality, export, product management …)
  • Ensure efficient execution of internal work flows and procedures and actively contribute to process improvements
  • Establish and facilitate a project and team culture
  • Bachelor or above in the field of Mechanical Engineering (ideally special emphasis of combustion engines) or technician (possibly with a car mechanic apprenticeship)
  • At least 5 years work experience in engineering management and/or leading teams. Experience in job-relevant sectors (petrol driven products) preferred
  • Very good technical understanding of relevant consumer products and related manufacturing processes, ability to find technical solutions under consideration of economic aspects and develop innovative ideas
  • Product knowledge and experience regarding relevant European directives, standards as well as performance tests such as “Fit for Use” (FfU) tests or “Stiftung Warentest” requirements for petrol garden or stationary tools is an advantage
  • Significant experience in project management with strong technical and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills required, fluency in German is a huge plus
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and deliver results under high pressure
  • Strong leadership skills and team spirit, mature and pragmatic
  • For foreign candidates: Significant work experience in Asia (especially China) is an advantage
