About this job:

Support the strategic planning of the unit/division (Fachbereich/Bereich) by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the department (Abteilung) within a short or medium-range time frame

  • Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it
  • Develop and implement personnel planning in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor; also make sure qualified personnel are hired
  •  Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor
  • Develop department-specific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals, follow up on goals and evaluate goal achievement
  •  Assure the planning and launch of production processes/equipment for production of new and existing products in the plants that are supported
  • Control and coordinate cooperation in developing and defining equipment design (e.g. in creating requirements manuals, etc.) from technological aspects (e.g. processes, equipment, tools and fixtures, etc.)
  • Assure in-spec startup and parameterization of new equipment for the production of new and existing products
  •  Control, coordinate and monitor the proper implementation of test runs and validations (e.g. adhesion test, climate tests, etc.) according to customer requirements; assure proper documentation
  •  Identify improvement potential and assure implementation of improvement measures

Specialist knowledge:

  • Professional/graduate education (seasoned professional) usually acquired through a bachelors degree or professional certification with substantial (five to seven) years of experience in the related field/s (highly proficient in a technical, scientific or specialized field with a high degree of innovative and conceptual thinking within a scientific discipline)
  • 5 Years experience in Interior Production or engineering
  • Good knowledge about the processes, which are implemented at the Interiors plants in China
