Internship period: 3-6 months

In this role, you will support the German Chamber’s communications team in external communications, economic research, and project management activities.

Tasks will consist in, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the production of the Business Confidence Survey – our key Chamber publication
  • Provide research, statistical and analytical work on policy and economic developments
  • Supporting the survey process including preparing briefing materials and external communication with members of the Chamber
  • Preparing content for the Chamber’s social media and communication channels (WeChat, LinkedIn and newsletter)
  • Carrying out other general communications and marketing tasks that may arise
  • Mandatory: Student at a Chinese University; for foreign students: X Visa with the permission of the university to carry out an “off campus internship”
  • Excellent command of English (native or near-native level), good command of German and/ or Chinese is a plus
  • Strong command of the written word and an interest in current affairs and China business issues as they relate to German business
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Majors: International Business, Economics, Business Administration, Journalism, International Relations, et)
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Solid MS Office skills a must
  • Cultural sensitivity and eagerness to work in an international environment
