Being represented by German Industry and Commerce Ltd., German National Tourist Office (GNTO) has started its operation in Hong Kong since 1st July 1996 to promote destination Germany in markets Hong Kong and South China.

As headquarter of GNTO, German National Tourist Board (GNTB) is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany which works on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) to represent Germany as a tourist destination and is funded by the Ministry in accordance with a decision taken by the German Bundestag. The GNTB develops and communicates strategies and products to promote Germany’s positive image abroad as a tourist destination and to encourage tourists to visit the country. There are 27 GNTO around the world to support its activities.

About this job:

We are looking for someone who will assist GNTB with localized GNTO social media channels and be part of an exciting new opportunity to establish and manage a new WeChat B2B Business Account. Your main duties amongst others will include:

  • Liaise with GNTB for B2B and B2C GNTO Social Media Channels
  • Coordinate with local digital marketing agent in Hong Kong
  • Write monthly social media content plans
  • Execution of online activities, pro-active activity planning and running
  • Establish and manage brand new WeChat B2B Business Account
  • Monthly Social Media calls and quarterly reporting to headquarters in Germany
  • Project coordination with German partners for social media campaigns
  • Create regular EDMs and E-Newsletter
  • Maintenance of CRM system
  • Degree holder in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field
  • Up to 2 years’ work experience in marketing, social media management or communications
  • Fresh Graduates will also be considered
  • Experience or knowledge about travel industry and Germany would be a big plus
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin are a must. Additional German language skills would be a big plus
  • You must be a HKSAR resident and HKID card holder
  • Be creative with positive “can-do” attitude
  • Strong communication skills and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of social media management tools
