About Company:

On behalf of an European manufacturer in the field of optical surface inspection systems, we are seeking for a VP Technical Operation for their branch in Shanghai.

About this job:

Reporting to: COO in Headquarter (dotted line to GM China)

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures in close cooperation with company headquarter and in direct line to the Group COO
  • Building up and establish structures and organization with clear roles and responsibilities
  • Setting up and measure comprehensive goals/targets for operational performance, success, growth
    Establishing and rolling out policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Oversee daily operations of the company (engineering, service, production, logistic and purchasing)
  • Building up the different functional Areas to more efficiency and probability in line with the global Operations Strategy
  • Leading employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
  • Evaluating performance by analyzing and interpreting fact and figures, data and metrics
  • Using deviations creating actions to ensure the goals/targets
  • Writing and submitting timely reports to the global COO in all matters of importance
  • Managing relationships with partners/vendors
Requirement:
  • c/BA in Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
  • related working  experience in technical area or relevant role as a technical manager with general responsibility – it could be a very good manager based in the second line, too
  • Understanding of business functions such as service, engineering (project management) production, logistic and purchasing
  • Very good technical background with economic skills
  • Working knowledge of the automation or automotive industry
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Project, Quality and Process Management
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Native Language: Chinese
Working Experience: above 10 years
