On behalf of an European manufacturer in the field of optical surface inspection systems, we are seeking for a VP Sales & Marketing for their branch in Shanghai.

About this job:

Reporting to: GM in Headquarter (dotted line to Headquarter in Germany)


  • Sales responsibility for China and all Business Units
  • Development of strategies (product and customer portfolio) and controlling of the strategies implementation
  • Analysis of the market for implementing effective marketing actions
  • Customer relation management, including maintaining and improving relations
  • Generating leads, organization of exhibitions, establishing relation with organizations
  • Lead the marketing team for expanding the market
  • Achievement of revenue and result goals specified in the annual plan
  • Securing customer satisfaction
  • Co-operation and adjustment with different Business Units (BU)
  • Implementation of efficient structures and processes within the region
  • Securing of the future ability by lasting revenue growth
  • Result responsibility for Order entry and Gross Margin
  • Duty to supply the BU’s and the management of the company group with information
  • Managerial responsibility of the directly assigned Sales staff members
  • Responsibility for compliance and the legal regulations and laws as well as internal company rules, processes and standards
  • Responsibility for adjustment of all substantial occurrences, strategies and actions with the management of the company group
  • Responsible for the Sales training programs
  • BSc/ BA in Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field: MSc/ MBA is a plus
  • Understanding of International business, also technical complex goods for global customers
  • Strong sales character with some years of experience in a similar role in international technical sales and marketing, also with successful sales track-record
  • Experience and a good understanding of our targets and achievements
  • Independent and self-organizing
  • Capability to work in a complex international environment
  • Capability to communicate professional with all levels in the organization
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong negotiations skills and experience in the international markets
  • Wording knowledge of IT/ Salesforce and MS Office
  • Aptitude in networking and relationship building
  • We expect English knowledge oral and written as well as Mandarin
Native Language: Chinese
Working Experience: above 10 years
