Report to: Vice President Group Finance and Director Administration and Finance Asia
Responsibilities:
- Primarily be responsible for managing the treasury-related activities and special focus on Financing Activities and Cash-/Foreign Currency Management
- Building and maintaining sound and sustainable working relationships with financial institutions, including but not limited to banks. Central point of contact for bank / financial institution relationship in the China scope, in line with Corporate Guidelines and in very close co-operation with Group treasury which owns the global bank relationship management process
- Managing and checking cash pool status, daily cash balances and ensure adequate liquidity for legal entities in China to conduct payments and settle Inter-company lending, dividend payments and capital injections
- Negotiating the terms of new finance facilities in line with group guidelines and overseeing the completion of legal documentation and drawdown of facilities on a timely basis
- Steering and managing of obligations out of financial contracts (internal and external reporting)
- Managing all cash management functions including cash concentration, wires, account funding, bank draft management and annual internal/statutory audit regarding treasury
- Forecasting cash flow positions, related borrowing needs taking into account cash payments, working capital and investment needs and budget requirements; work with other functions to create monthly treasury report, and analyze deviations between forecasted and actual numbers
- Overseeing the treasury and cashier activities to ensure the availability of required foreign exchange and local currency
- Foreign exchange exposure identification and management
- Providing central treasury support and guidance to local accounting departments
- Implementing treasury best practice to support business expansion in China while align with global policy and strategy
- Ensuring treasury activities are in compliance with treasury policies, accounting guidelines, governance policies and internal controls including fraud prevention

Requirement: |
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible treasury experience for a major company; with a minimum of 5 years in a multinational treasury; Automotive company is preferred, strong treasury background and strong local and foreign bank relationships
- Ability to provide valuable treasury advice to leaders for decision making
- Familiar with RMB situation and foreign currency hedging arrangement; thorough knowledge of local regulations, policies and practices
- Excellent communication abilities. Also experienced in dealing with entities’ heads, major Chinese and foreign banks
- Fluent in written and spoken English; German and Chinese are preferable
- Willingness to travel within China and abroad
- Can work independently and under pressure
- Strategic mind set towards business, good internal control knowledge and risk focus/proactive risk management
- Problem solver, good human relationships, flexible, patient
