Our client is a leading provider of products like colour charts and displays for the cosmetic industry.

About this job:
  • Is responsible for production success and continuous operation of the plant;
  • Sales management such as customer contact and general coordination of sales;
  • Directs manufacturing operations and ensures that planned production volumes, quality, costs and productivity targets are met;
  • Translates production planning set by headquarter into operational manufacturing instructions, controls the quality/output and takes necessary measures in order to realize production plans;
  • Ensures that through procedures and controls, production output complies with company quality standards and implements actions to increase quality awareness among the staff in order to meet or surpass goals;
  • Structures, organizes and motivates human resources; ensures that through recruitment, coaching and training the required skills are developed to meet the production targets in terms of quality and volumes;
  • Creates and proposes investment plan/budget needed to ensure that production plans can be met;
  • Monitors and analyses production costs and takes measures to keep the lowest cost within the defined production targets;
  • Supervises quality inspection and quality assurance functions and employees and takes necessary actions if quality standards are not met;
  • Advises on the yearly production budget by giving realistic forecasts of all operational costs and controls the approved budget in order to ensure that the planned production is performed within the given limits; takes actions if critical targets are reached;
  • Ensures that plant maintenance and investment projects are well-planned, staffed and carried out within deadlines, agreed budgets and according to company policies in order that the plant and allequipment is maintained efficiently to achieve optimum manufacturing output;
  • Responsible that health & safety standards based on legal requirements and group standards are implemented and followed.


  • University degree in engineering or comparable background;
  • Leadership and people management skills; leading by example; able to create an atmosphere of teamwork and to inspire and develop people;
  • Solid experience in production environment, preferablywith high manual proportion;
  • Experience within international companies a plus;
  • Proven track record in a comparable managerial position for at least 2 years;
  • Experience in shift/accord models;
  • Good economic and financial understanding;
  • Budgeting, planning and production reporting experience;
  • Good IT user knowledge (MS Office);
  • Strong quality awareness;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Sympathy for the demanding standards of our mostly Japanese clients
